Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  A team player that thrives in a fast-paced and highly energetic environment, and works well under pressure. Hermits need not apply.

  • Ensure that all customers feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.

  •  Strong organisational skills. Great with multitasking and prioritising their time

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all front of house services are meeting guest expectations.

  • Able to execute all Front of House positions in order to support a smooth service, and manage the day-to-day aspects of the job:

    • Handle fresh pastries, breads and cakes with care.

    • Serve customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude

    • Keep the FOH tidy, clean and organized

    • Use the POS system to complete transactions

  • Ensure all opening/closing shift duties are completed according to protocol

  • Manage inventory in displays. This includes

    • Pricing and setting up new giftware products

    • Communicating with the kitchen when pastries are low

    • Willingness to learn about the product lines (their ingredients, assembly, methods, etc.)

  • Help to train new front-of-house staff in the daily operations of the business

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in a FOH management/leadership/supervisory position

  • A High school diploma or GED

  • Able to work a 30-40 hour work week that includes weekends and holidays

  • Experience with POS systems

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully and lead others

  • Strong understanding of food safety and public health practices

  • Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask

  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time

  • Asset: Food Handlers Certificate
